U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jonathan Lane, 31, stationiert bei der 12. Combat Aviation Brigade (12CAB) in der US-Armee-Garnison Ansbach, wurde am 27. Juni in seiner Wohnung als vermisst gemeldet.
Lane wurde er am 29. Juni als unerlaubt abwesend (AWOL) gemeldet, nachdem er sich am 29. Juni nicht zum Dienst gemeldet hatte. Stabsfeldwebel Lane, CH-47-Hubschrauberreparaturwerkstatt, ist dem 1. Bataillon des 214. Luftfahrtregiments (General Support Aviation Brigade) zugeordnet. Das Department of Emergency Services (DES) der Armee und die Criminal Investigation Division (CID) untersuchen den Vorfall derzeit zusammen mit den örtlichen Strafverfolgungsbehörden. Das größte Anliegen der 12. Combat Aviation Brigade ist die Gesundheit und Sicherheit unserer Soldaten.
Stabsfeldwebel Lanes Einheit hat mehrfach versucht, seinen Aufenthaltsort zu ermitteln und Kontakt mit ihm aufzunehmen; Alle Versuche waren jedoch erfolglos.

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jonathan Lane, 31, stationed with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade (12CAB) at U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, was reported missing from his residence on June 27th. After multiple attempts to contact Staff Sgt. Lane, he was reported absent without leave (AWOL) on June 29th after failing to report for duty on June 29th.
Staff Sgt. Lane, CH-47 helicopter repairer, is assigned to the 1st Battalion, 214th Aviation Regiment (General Support Aviation Brigade). The Army’s Department of Emergency Services (DES) and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are currently investigating the incident along with local law enforcement. The 12th Combat Aviation Brigade’s number one concern is the health and safety of our Soldiers. Staff Sgt. Lane’s unit has tried multiple times to determine his whereabouts and make contact with him; however, all attempts have been unsuccessful.
